La canzone è stata scritta da Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle, Casey Smith, Zach Skelton e Tyler Spry e prodotta da Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle, Tyler Spry. Questo è il secondo nuovo singolo della band dopo “Rescue Me”, pubblicato a maggio 2019.
Assieme al singolo, gli OneRepublic hanno anche pubblicato il video ufficiale di “Wanted”. La nuova clip è stata diretta da Christian Lamb della Black Dog Films. Lamb ha anche diretto il video musicale di “Rescue Me” all’inizio di quest’anno.
